Choosing a right career in the early stages of life will lead you to success and happiness sooner than others who are not capable of doing that. But, how do we choose a career? First of all, to decide on what to choose, you
should have options. So, first, explore and discover the various options that
you have to embark your journey. Right from the age of secondary school
education, you should start learning about the various careers that people have
opted for and the path that they have taken to reach there. This will give you
an idea about careers in general by the time reach your college and it will
help you on deciding the subject you want to choose for further education. This
is the stage where you make the first choice for your future career. Exploring
the careers has to take acceleration after graduation or even better while
doing graduation, and you have to check out the various career courses that are being offered by various institutes in your
chosen subject.
Short-list the options:
Out of the vast range of career courses, you should be able to decide on one course that gives
you job placement in a profession
that fits your abilities, personality, your aptitude and the scope of that
profession in future.

Keep your horizons wide:
It happens in many cases that interests and
passions change with time. What you liked in your twenties may not be the same
in your thirties or forties. So, try to join some training courses that cater to your other interests and hobbies
also. For e.g. you are an automobile engineer by profession and it happens that
you love writing and have attended trainingcourses related to writing or mass
communication, there are chances that you start blogging on automobiles later
in your life which may even bring you money along with the satisfaction of
writing.
Talk to people:
After you decide on a career taking into consideration
all aspects, talk to people who are already in that profession and try to
understand the pros and cons of that profession. Take the opinion of your
family, friends and peers regarding the chosen field and take the decision on
your own because ultimately it is you who has to work and be happy.
In such a competitive world there is no
assurance that even after such thoughtful decision, you will get a job of your
choice in your chosen field. Be ready to take whatever comes in your way and
